Upper Level includes Master Bedroom with walkout deck over looking the river. Second Bedroom, Full Bath, Work Station, Coffee/Beverage Bar with Keurig Coffee maker. Amazing Views of Catawba River from multiple vantage points including from both the upper and lower decks of The Cottage. Access
A push button key pad is located on the front door. to light up the key pad touch the bottom left corner and it will light up then put your code in. Please let the lock open fully before trying to open the door. You should receive your code 48 hours before check in. If you don't receive a code please let me know.

This was a beautiful cottage, perfect for family getaways. Fishing and kayaking were nearby although it looks like the dock to the Peninsula was not functional, but kayaks would get you across. The place was tastefully decorated, quaint & tucked among trees. Mike is a great host and very responsive to my questions we had. Thanks Mike!

We really enjoyed our stay. Was a very welcoming home. Great atmosphere! All the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. I will say for 5 people there wasn’t enough towels for everyone. All furnishings are really nice. Comfy couch and enough seats for all of us to relax together and watch tv. The fire pit was wonderful at night with a great view. Was in a wonderful location to downtown Charlotte. Went to the Bank of America Stadium and was like 15 minutes away. There are kayaks but we didn’t use them. We were hoping to fish from the dock or the bank. We had brought all of our fishing stuff to fish. So, I will say if you do want to fish you would need to use them. The dock isn’t there. It’s across the water channel on a sand bar island hence you need to use the kayaks to fish open water. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. If we come back to this area. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was right on the water with a nice view of the Catawba river. Their pier unfortunately got washed out with the last flooding and hasn't been rebuilt yet, which was a big disappointment for my husband and kids who wanted to go fishing. Other than that, we had a good experience overall.
